Medical Advisory Board: Genetics and Metabolism/Expert in Urea Cycle Disorders
Dr. Jose A. Camacho has an extensive knowledge of metabolic disorders with special emphasis on Urea Cycle Disorders.
He has written numerous research papers and did research by discovering the three mitochondrial ornithine transporters ORNT1, ORNT2, and ORNT3 of the urea cycle.
He has a unique patience and understanding for his patients which makes him one the best to care for those with UCD’s. He speaks Spanish fluently and has many patients from the Spanish community with UCD’s as well.
We are so honored to have him as part of our board and look forward to an amazing relationship with him.
